Vestibular

(Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo- BPPV)

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) arises from the mal-positioning of the crystals, otoconia, in the inner ear. BPPV is triggered by changes in head positioning such as turning left to right or looking up to down. BPPV symptoms can include, but are not limited to, dizziness, spinning (vertigo), loss of balance, and nausea. At SportsCare we manage vestibular symptoms by evaluating and treating functional relationships between symptomatic positions and repositioning of the crystals to help alleviate symptoms. We’re looking to address patient specific goals. Our treatment may include manual techniques, neuro-muscular re-education, therapeutic exercises and more.
